 The "Concept of 100" activities build on prior mathematical
knowledge and incorporate new information into existing conceptual structure.
The activities lead to the development of counting, awareness of number
and money. The students are encouraged
to develop number sense by comparing, ordering, multiplying and representing
whole numbers
to 100.

Connect the rule of counting objects in fives to
counting 5c or $5

Use turn-around strategy to simplify multiplication
