The Magic "e"
The Magic E Activities focus on the role that
the single letter plays in the development of
a language unit and how it changes the
pronunciation and meaning of a large number
of words. Comparing short vowel word with their
counterpart long vowel words is a key component
of the book. Each spelling pattern is repeated in
different speech and language patterns.
Students decide when to add the extra; to change the short vowel sound into the long vowel sound to give it the correct meaning.
