Basic Number Concepts
This book introduces and develops skills
necessary during early years. The book features activities to develop early
numeracy and perceptual and fine
motor skills. This workbook is recommended for
students
with no writing skills.
The simple step to step activities lead
students through the basic stages of early number recognition and development
of number concepts from 0 to 6 and thus the children are gradually introduced
to the numerals and the quantity they represent. The activities are set out in sequential
order, starting with the concept of one
and gradually increasing to the
concept of six. The activities consist mainly of connecting numbers to
pictures of objects (and via versa) and circling the correct number of
objects or numerals.
Basic
Number Concepts
allows the student to build up skills without being hindered by writing
numerals.
