All About Angles A Jays' program ALL ABOUT ANGLES sets up activities that move from
problems out towards investigations. Students are given experiences in
identifying angles in different orientations
by a variety of materials, such as the angle wheel, model clock face, angle
maker, angle wedges etc. Cutting, folding, measuring, drawing and model making focusing on
the individual properties of angles is one of the prime objectives of this program. Activities
include:
- Identifying and classifying acute, right, obtuse,
straight, reflex and revolution angles -
Seeing
similarities and differences of angles
- Recognising
angles that have been turn around
- Using
right angles for shape identifications
- Using
tools such as angle wheel, rope, clock and angle-wedges for measuring
and for constructing angles
